Marie Claire LeBlanc Flanagan

game designer - a kind of play

Marie moved to Berlin one year ago to make experimental games. In the past year she has made a facial recognition/biosignal experience using machine learning to allow you to play another person’s body as an instrument (Auscault); a VR experience expressing the permanence of a person’s virtual choices on their physical body with permanent tattoos (Other Hands); a computer vision game that uses two people’s moving bodies as a shared single controller (Closer); and an award-winning game at the Wikimedia Free Knowledge Game Jam (TexTiles). Marie also founded and runs Wyrd Arts Initiatives.
